Surnames I am researching include: Amherst, Botetourt, Giles, Monroe, and Cabell Counties - Biggs, Ballard, Broyles, Alford, McCallister, McGhee, Pullen, Campbell, Mauzey, Miller, Reiner and Swope Hampshire County - Shingleton, Pownall, Glaze, Ferryman, Long, Doyle, McBride, McDonald, Miller, Malick, Poland, Timbrook and Ruckman.

I am getting involved with DNA projects at World Families Network for my Biggs and Shingleton lines.  I encourage anyone who is researching the Biggs or Shingleton/Singleton families to participate so we have enough information to enable us to hopefully get through some brick walls.

There are many other surnames on my site - I have attempted to have as complete a history as possible for all branches of the families.  Please keep in mind that this is a work in progress.   I did make an interesting discovery last year - it appears I could be descended from royalty, including William the Conqueror and Charlemagne!
