Judy Warth Note: Was injured in coal mining accident. Also was badly crippled by arthritus Had to hire help for farm work; also necessary to sell the farm because he could no longer keep it up. Mom remembers JAR sitting whittling by the barn, singing songs to the grandkids. JAR & Katie lived with Archibold's family after the farm was sold.. Katie Ruckman lived with Bertha Seybold after JAR died (1915) Mom said Katie raised an Earl Kiger, grandson after his mother died. Earl was killed in war (which war, span/am, WWI?). Years don't fit. Katie's sister married a Kiger but Katie only had one dtr who married a Seybold. Obit: from Wheeling News Register 18 Jun 1915 in file.
