   Cause of his death was killed in battle.

  General Notes:

Hugh was the abbot of several abbacies: Saint-Quentin (822-823), Lobbes, and Saint-Bertin. In 834, he was made archchancellor of the Holy Roman Empire by Louis the Pious, his half-brother.
