John Mann, son of Isaac and Lucy (Stephenson) mann was born 13 Jan 1832 and died 18 Apr 1904. He maried 3 Oct 1860 Cynthia Keaton born 19 Dec 1829 died 9 Feb 1901, the daughter of Johnson and Elizabeth (Ballard) Keaton. From an old newspaper clipping we read: She was the daughter of Rev. Johnson Keaton and united with the Springfield Baptist Church about 45 years. Mrs. Mann was a faithful wife and devoted moter. She is survived by a husband and four sons who with many others mourn her loss. John and Cynthia had 5 sons. As there were no daughters in the family, and too much work for one person to do, one of the boys, Leonidas, helped his mother in the kitchen and with other housework 1.
