Milom or Milburn Keaton, the son of Johnson and Elizabeth (Mann) keaton, was born 1837. He was a farmer but he also practised medicine to some extent having learned the profession by apprentenceship. We read in letters from friends and family to Ward Mann, Milom's Uncle, where he is called Dr. Keaton on several occasions and the writers speak of the treatment which they hope will affect a cure for Ward Mann, who was a cripple. Milom Keaton married Mary A Halstead 1837 on 15 Jan 1857, daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth (Miller) Halstead who were married in 1826 (file 4 Jacket 2638). Wlizabeth Miller was the daughter of Henry and Rhoda (Brookin) Miller who were married 1799. They had the following children 1. Alderman Keaton 6 Jan 1857 2. Lewis J 29 Aug 1859-19 Nov 1886 3.
