Anderson Keaton, son of Johnson and Elizabeth (Mann) Keaton, was born 26 May 1810 died 12 Aug 1837. He married Margaret "Aunt Pud" Ballard 24 May 1830. She was the daughter of Jermiah and Julia (Thompson) Ballard. They lived on Ellison's Ridge near Greenville in Monroe County. After the death of Anderson Keaton, Margaret married 27 Aug 1839 Robert Dickinson Shanklin, against the will of her father. Anderson and Margaret (Ballard) keaton had two daughters 1. Delilah Keaton born Jan 1836-1914 married Allen D. Houchins 1827-1906 son of John and Celia Steppe (Mann) Houchins 2. Evaline Keaton born1834-1917 married Lewis Austin Whitten 1832-1920 in 1854. He was the son of Lewis and Charlotte (Godwin) Whitten from Alleghany County Va
