OBITUARY William Clayton Shingleton, 50 of Richard died Saturday ( May 21, 1994) at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown. He was born June 6, 1943 in Akron Ohio, Son the late James D. and Francis V. Martin Shingleton. He is survived by his wife Ruth Cooper Shingleton, two sons William Shawn and Stephen Paul Shingleton both of Fairmont. One daughter Rebecca Olter of Norfolk VA. One stepson Delbert Herrington of Waynsburg PA. one stepdaughter Mrs Patrick [Sharon] Canery of Morgantown, two brothers James D. Shingleton of Hazel Green Alabama and Glenn Shingleton of Salem Ohio and eight grandchildren He was an employee of Surburban Lanes of Morgantown. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a member of VFW Post 548 and the American Leigoh of Morgantown. Burial will be at the Claughton Chapel Cemetery in Kirby PA. VFW Post 548 will conduct Military rites.
