Abraham and Catherine (Piatt) TenBrook, emigrated to Indiana in 1818 and settled in Franklin County, where he died in 1822. He left a large family and their only support was their mother and John P., who was then a lad of thirteenyears.
Abraham married Catherine Piatt in 1805. (Catherine Piatt was born on 2 Sep 1782 in Somerset Co, New Jersey and died on 21 Sep 1843 in Monticello, Piatt Co, Illinois.)
